Enterprise AI Agent Rollout Outpaces Data Trust and Readiness
Enterprise adoption of agentic AI is accelerating fast — Siemens deepening its NVIDIA partnership for self-verifying agentic AI in chip design, Manulife expanding its Microsoft AI-governance partnership, and a wave of infrastructure launches (NVIDIA GPU-accelerated data processing, Dell exascale storage, new AI chip generations) — even as a new Google Cloud survey shows the underlying data foundation isn't ready: companies have AI access to only 45% of their data on average, data laggards see access fall to 30% or less, and only about half of organizations trust their AI agents' decisions. Meanwhile, insider selling at enterprise-AI bellwether C3.ai (CEO Thomas Siebel offloading $4.8M in shares) hints at investor caution layered under the adoption hype.

JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Both facts report JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s revenue for the same fiscal period (FY 2025) with the same observation date (2025-12-31), but with different values: $182.447 billion vs. $185 billion. The ~1.4% difference ($2.553 billion) is too large to be explained by rounding alone and represents conflicting data for the identical time period.

Amkor Technology posted record earnings even as semiconductor and AI infrastructure stocks sold off, with leveraged sector ETFs down sharply from recent highs.5 The gap between corporate fundamentals and stock prices is widening across the chip industry.

SK hynix locked in robust AI-memory supply agreements, reinforcing demand for high-bandwidth memory used in AI accelerators. The U.S. government awarded a $300 million CHIPS Act grant and took an equity stake in GlobalFoundries, tying public investment directly to domestic chip manufacturing capacity.1

Safe Superintelligence, the AI lab co-founded by Ilya Sutskever, raised $5 billion in a round led by Nvidia, underscoring continued capital flow into frontier AI development despite the broader stock pullback.

Consolidation is reshaping the RF and analog chip segment. Skyworks Solutions and Qorvo confirmed their planned merger will proceed with combined leadership drawn from both companies. "Today's announcement reflects the strong partnership that has shaped our integration planning efforts from the very beginning," said Skyworks CEO Bob Bruggeworth.2 Qorvo's Phil Brace is also named in the leadership plan for the combined company.3

Separately, French chipmaker Kalray struck a partnership with Bull to develop high-speed networking technology for next-generation AI and high-performance computing infrastructure. "This agreement with Bull once again confirms the relevance of our technological vision," said Kalray CEO Éric Baissus.4

Apple is managing its own leadership transition, with CEO Tim Cook's planned handoff to Deputy Operating Chief John Ternus adding another structural shift atop the sector's fundamentals-versus-valuation debate.

The pattern suggests investors are repricing AI capex risk even as order books, government support, and private AI funding remain strong. Whether current valuations still match spending momentum is now the central question for chip investors.
